Teacher Practice Standards
- Establish mathematics goals to focus learning
- Implement tasks that promote reasoning and problem solving
- Use and connect mathematical representations
- Facilitate meaningful mathematical discourse
- Pose purposeful questions
- Build procedural fluency from conceptual understanding
- Support productive struggle in learning mathematics
- Elicit and use evidence of student thinking
K Updates & Changes
- Ss will duplicate and extend simple patterns using concrete objects (OA,13)
1st Grade Updates & Changes
- Ss will reproduce, extend and create patterns and sequences of numbers using a variety of materials (OA, 9)
- Ss will identify pennies and dimes by name and value (Measurement, 20)
2nd Grade Updates & Changes
- Ss will express an understanding of common terms such as, but not limited to, quarter past, half past and quarter to (Measurement, 23)
3rd Grade Updates & Changes
- Ss will fluently determine all products obtained by multiplying two one digit numbers (Used to say "By the end of 3rd grade, know from memory all..." In other words, they must have a strategy to get to the answer. (OA,7)
- Ss will measure time intervals in minutes (within 90 minutes) (Measurement & Data, 18)
