You are invited to join us for our annual Grandparents Day Mass on Wednesday November 27th at 10:00 a.m. You do not need to be Virtus to attend this event.

Now that we have ended the first quarter, we are looking for your feedback in how we can make SMA the best educational and spiritually enriching experience for your family. Please take 5 minutes to complete the survey linked below. All responses are anonymous and results will be shared with the SMA community at an upcoming HSA meeting.

If you have not been receiving text message alerts from St. Mary of the Assumption, please try texting "Yes" to 301-281-4314. If you do not see a message saying that you are now subscribed, please contact alewis@stmaryum.org. This is where we will send emergency closure alerts, so it is important that all parents are subscribed.

Due to the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the Mass scheduled for Friday December 13th will be moved to Monday December 9th, as will 8th Grade Confessions. The Monday and Friday schedule will be completely flipped that week, so 8th, 4th, and 3rd grades should wear their PE uniform on FRIDAY that week.

St. Mary of the Assumption School is celebrating 100 years of educational excellence. For the Centennial, we are sponsoring this Brick Fundraising Project to benefit the school. Proceeds from this project will give back to the school and to our families through teacher development, school infrastructure, and student scholarships.

Gala tickets are now on sale! The event has sold out the last two years, so please get your tickets as soon as possible.

Tuition Assistance for the 2025-2026 school year opens today! Please begin your application ASAP to ensure you are part of the first (and largest) aid distribution for the 2025-2026 school year.

We are looking for families to handwrite Christmas cards from our school for service hours. If you are interested, please email Dr. Davis rdavis@stmaryum.org

Each year every class sponsors a basket for our Silent Auction and Gala. We are asking for donations around your basket's theme. We have made it easy! All you need to do is click on the link and place the order through Amazon. It will ship right to us! Thank you for all your support!

The basket that brings in the most money wins a class party!

We are so excited to announce that the "Polar Pals Gift Shop" will take place on December 3rd thru December 5th for all St Mary's students. This is an in-school store for students to shop for Christmas gifts for their family members. The prices range from $1.00 to $5.00 or more. Please watch for information regarding acceptable payments and the date your child will visit the shop.

We have a few events coming up in the weeks and months ahead that may be of interest to your community:

• December 6, 6:30 PM: 10th-Grade Drama Showcase, at Calvary United Methodist Church, Annapolis. Our first-year drama students are putting on their own Commedia dell’arte, a witty and playful blend of script and improv.
• December 13, 6:30 PM: Lessons & Carols, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davidsonville. Join our all-school choir during Advent for this traditional service, pairing readings from salvation history with carols and hymns for the season.
