Students had so much fun celebrating Read Across America Week! GWS extended the celebration by “reading around the world”. We kicked off the week at Monday Morning Meeting with teachers leading a read aloud of the book called Peace, by Wendy Anderson Halperin. This book is filled with beautiful illustrations that tell the story of different children around the world who all want the same thing - peace. Throughout the week, each grade level learned about a different continent and had the opportunity to experience a bit of culture during music, physical education, art, and library. They even had a treat from each continent during lunch every day! On your next visit to GWS, you will notice a beautiful mural of our world covered in students’ artwork that represents the diverse cultures of our world. A special thank you to Mrs. Roberts, Mrs. Silva, and Mrs. Chevalier for their help in making this week such a great success!!

Kindergarten registration for the next school year is now open. Parents have the option to register online or in person. Please be sure to complete your child’s registration no later than Friday, March 17, 2023.

Children entering Kindergarten must be five (5) years old by August 31, 2023.
