Principal's Message:
Welcome back to another school year! We are very excited to get started this year and to start some new adventures in education.
We have some new programs that we are running this year! Students will be able to access a breakfast program (it will commence on September 18th). The items being offered will be yogurt, breakfast bars, fruit, and dry cereal. Please contact your child's homeroom teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
There will be an enrichment program this year for students who are identified as needing an academic challenge. This will be project-based and parents will be contacted when students are identified.
Another program we are working on this year is a STEM program for our Junior High students. It is two blocks a week. Students will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through a variety of projects.
We are also doing weekly intramurals with our school this year, Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Hillis are planning some excellent opportunities for students during their lunch break.
A few reminders as we get into another year:
** Please be sure to come into the building and sign your child out if they are being picked up early and if they will not be on the bus, please let the office know.
** There are now crosswalks painted in the parking lot, please use these when crossing so that we can keep everyone safe.
** Reminder of every first Monday of the month is an early out day, students will be dismissed at 3:05 p.m. on those days.
