SES Weekly Update!
December 11-15, 2023
Master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas.
We who have so much to do and seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day,
We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us.
We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom.
We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence.
We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light.
To you we say, "Come Lord Jesus!'
Amen.
Hello SES families! Welcome to the second week of Advent!
Cheers to:
- Mrs. Baker's 2B class, who led us through an amazing first week of Advent celebration!
- Mrs. Gyori's 5G class, who did such an excellent job leading the school in our Second Week of Advent celebration!
- Mr. Cellini, who read "The Grinch who Stole Christmas" to our grade 1's and 2s, in a full Grinch costume!
Advent Giving Initiatives
Share Your Gift Assembly- December 20
All our gifts (athletic, artistic, intellectual, etc.) are given to us by God. When we work to improve our gifts and share them with others, God smiles. It's our purpose on Earth to use the gifts we have been given to share with others.
The school is hosting a Share Your Gift celebration on Wednesday, December 20, from 12:45-2:15 pm. Students in grade 4 and 5 have been invited to share a gift they have with the school community. The whole school will attend, and parents and familes are welcome to join us!
Career Day
Our students will be focusing on career exploration at the start of the new year. We will be having our CAREER DAY on Friday January 26, 2024 from 12:45-3:00. It is an honor and a privilege to invite you to participate in our day! There will be approximately four 20 minute repeated sessions that afternoon. Most speakers spend time talking about their career, what got them interested in the career, and sometimes have an experiential part to their presentation, where students can “try” something pertaining to the career. Please complete the google form that was sent to your email or contact Mrs. Surridge directly at our school.
SES- How Are we Doing?
We are now into our fourth month of school, and we are working hard to make every child's experience the richest it can be!
If you have a few minutes, this is a form for our St. Elizabeth Seton families to let us know how we are doing in serving the students and families of our school community. Last week we had a glitch with the form- now we can say it is working well. Your feedback is very important to help us serve your children best.
