Technology

  • We worked with GCEC to finalize the new phone system installation, July 5-7. All the system are installed and running smoothly.
  • We have also been working with campus librarians to update our Chromebook inventories by removing outdated devices and adding new devices. Additionally, we are updating our district inventory by confirming assets on each campus, as well as removing outdated and unwanted devices. The added and/or removed devices then are documented in the Eduphoria inventory system.

  • The Server Room is ready for a complete overhaul. The Tech Team removed all the spare parts, workbench, and as much of the rack mounted components as possible. The new servers are in service in the Technology Offices until the server room is ready.

  • We are working with with Nextlink who installed wireless radio equipment for the 100mb emergency use capability if the fiber capability goes down. The new fiber internet will be installed outside soon but we are ready internally.

  • The Tech Team has spent a lot of time organizing and recycling the technology storage area throughout the summer.

Maintenance/Grounds

  • The grounds crews are staying busy with mowing and edging due to the sunshine. Special attention was given to the flower bed areas around BHS.
  • The Finley-Oates driveway should be poured the week of July 18th and The BHS Additional Parking Lot should be poured the week of July 25th.
  • We are doing our best to catch up on all work orders. Our goal is a 100% completion before August 1st.
  • The BHS fire lanes were recently repainted since the paint had faded away.
