GRADE LEVEL AND DEPARTMENT
We had the most wonderful trip to the aquarium and the beach.
This was definitely the highlight of the year. We do believe that the children got their fair share of seashells. Please save the date for our end of the year celebration. Your children will perform musician selections as well as receive awards for Kindergarten completion. Please dress fancy and guest attendance is limited. Mrs. Bland, Mrs. Clark, and Mrs. Roberson’s classes will begin at 9:00, Ms. Cleta ,Mrs. Rock-Lupton , and Miss Bond’s classes will begin at 9:45 A more specific newsletter will be sent shortly.
First Grade:
Next week, we will continue focusing on informational texts by discussing alligators and crocodiles. We are in the middle of taking our end of year math assessments, so please talk to your child about staying focused and trying their best. Be reminded that the First Grade Awards Ceremony will be June 6th. Times are as follows:
9:00-9:45: Congleton, Reason, Warren
10:00-10:45: Baker, Boller, Roberson
As the end of the school year is quickly approaching, please encourage your child to buckle down and to maintain appropriate behavior while on the bus and in class.
Second Grade:
Hello from the second grade team members. These are a few reminders.
Please remember that money for our field trip is due on May 20, 2022. No monies will be taken after this date. Continue to encourage students to meet their 80% behavior goal so they will be eligible for the field trip. K-2 Math assessments are in progress. Please continue to encourage students to do their best.
Tuesday, June 7th is Awards Day for 2nd Grade. Times are as follows:
9:00: Ms. Gray and Mrs. Rodgers
10:00: Mrs. Britt and Mrs. Toler
More specific information regarding attire and guest attendance will be forthcoming.
The end of the year is vastly approaching. Continue to talk with students about maintaining appropriate behavior in class and on the bus.

News from the Nurse's Desk
Hello form your School Nurse! I would like to remind every one to encourage children to drink plenty of water, especially when they have been outside playing in the heat. With the temperature rising, the chances for dehydration are increased and symptoms could be averted with proper water intake. Also, please be aware that proper rest is essential to them. It is hard with increased activities at night during the spring and they are tired little bodies. They need their rest to perform well each day.
