Sign-up your child up for spring soccer with the Mountainburg Soccer Club. Ages are PreK - 8th grade. The club is hoping to get a middle school team started.

Making application to be recognized as a R.I.S.E Arkansas Reading School is HUGE! It shows the work that MES teachers have been doing to reach this point.

Make sure you thank Ms. Jones and her staff for what they are doing at MES.

MHS commits to "Learning Today so that we can Lead Tomorrow. " This means that we are dedicated to learning more about our practice, our curriculum, our teaching strategies, and our students. This week, Coach Jones, Mrs. Walker, and Mrs. Cristee attended "Live2Lead" with John Maxwell. We had the opportunity to learn more about bridging the gaps of generational diversity, The Working Genius, and the Laws of Leadership.

CTE programs provide opportunities for students to achieve career certifications and get focused learning on specific topics. This week, our Culinary classes learned about the 5 basic "sauces" and were focused on "roux." They had a Mac n Cheese competition to demonstrate their skills.

We celebrated growth on the MAP tests this week with an ice cream party. Students MAP test 3 times a year so that we can see growth and continue closing the gaps in learning.

Summer & Other Programs for High School Students 2022-2023

Nearly half of adults in the United States have high blood pressure. (Blood pressure greater than 130/80 or are taking medication for hypertension.) Of that, only about 1 in 4 adults (24%) with hypertension have their condition under control. The best place to start when working on lowering your blood pressure is to eat right, exercise, stop smoking, limit alcohol consumption, and minimize stress. Some of those may seem easier said than done, but even baby steps can start you in the right direction.

The Mountainburg Public Library works hard to put together great activities for our communities. It doesn't go unnoticed and is very much appreciated!

Personal Note: This is Mrs. Christian. As many know, I grew up in Mountainburg. I remember the activities that our library would sponsor. Back then, the library was in what is now the VFW building across from Uptown Frills. These activities offer a fun and safe environment for the kids in our community.

The Mountainburg Board of Education meets once a month unless a special meeting is needed. A study session will be held at 5:15 and the business session will be at 6:00 PM. Meetings are held downstairs in the Mountainburg Administration Building.
