The President's Pearls
"“Service to others leads to greatness.” – Jim Rohn
Greetings Sorors!
I am proud of the service we have provided through “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service” to make an impact on our community. Thank you to our Program Committee for leading us in service and providing many opportunities to continue service to the Greater Austin Area. Through the AKA Association for Community Development Foundation, we have provided scholarships to two remarkable students that are excelling academically and in the community. Scholarships have been awarded to Zoey Hill of Cedar Ridge High School and Crystal Nnegbu of John B. Connally High School. Thank you to the Scholarship Committee for leading the way to highlight and award outstanding students.
Our Ivy Vine is strong with over 200 members. We are excited for all of our new sorors that have joined Beta Psi Omega. We will continue to Embrace our new sorors through our Mentoring Program with our Membership Committee. Also, thank you to our Leadership Development Committee for the innovative workshop to deliver Power-packed Presentations. We look forward to the upcoming Leadership Development workshop at our Chapter Retreat.
Get ready sorors to “Let the Good Times Roll” as we continue “Exemplifying Excellence in the Pink Easy” at the upcoming combined Boule and Leadership Seminar. This unique conference will be filled with workshops to enrich our knowledge of our illustrious sorority, empower us to continue to transform communities, and execute the business of our Sorority. Hurry! Registration ends on June 15.
Please enjoy a well-deserved break and take time to rest, relax and recharge. I look forward to seeing you at Chapter Retreat in August. Have a sensational summer.
Yours in Sisterhood & Service,
Soror Kizzy LeJay
