Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to help the guest reader? Yes, they don't know the kids for the most part and will need your help with keeping on the schedule as well as "crowd control" of your students and possibly getting to the next class or restroom or other locations in the school
What do I tell the students about that day? They need to bring an extra book in case the reader finishes before the class is over. Then they can read their own book. You, the classroom teacher can bring your book to set a reader example for your students. Please remind them that they are representing Anna ISD. :)
Can I ask the author questions about the story or the reading? Yes, because we plan to get the questions to the author by way of a google doc so he can answer them for us
What is the google doc link for the questions about the book? It is goo.gl/0n3L12
Do I send the book with the guest reader if they leave my room? No. Each classroom has a copy of the book to be left in the room. The books are tabbed with the page the reader needs to stop on.
Further questions or issues ? Who do I ask? Greta Adams, District Librarian greta.adams@annaisd.org
