I hope you have enjoyed this very chilly long weekend! I want to remind you that we have conferences this Tuesday and Thursday. We also have another short week with no school on Friday.

This is the end of the quarter, can you believe it?! All AR tests need to be taken by Thursday at 3pm. Accelerated reader is not something we can do at home.

Students will be taking their chapter 2 multiplication and division test on Wednesday and Thursday this week. We will begin on Wednesday, but band is that day so we may continue on Thursday.

All homework is due on Thursday! :)

Math: Chapter 2 Multiplication and Division of Whole Numbers - test Wednesday

Reading: We are finishing Number the Stars whole group and continuing to focus on paired articles in small groups.

Writing: New spelling words this week. Test Thursday. Narrative writing.

Science/Social Studies: Ecosystems/Government. Geography will continue to have a focus as we continue to Mystery Hangout throughout the year.

Hello! I am a 5th grade teacher at Hopkins Elementary. I enjoy spending time with my little family in Hiram, Ohio. I have three children: Ricky (7), Nora (4), and Sean (3). I love my church, road tripping, everything Disney, and creating memories. I have been at Hopkins for 10 years now between 4th and 5th grade. We are going to have a great year!
