Happy First Day of School!

We are so excited to welcome everyone back to school today! Here are just a few reminders for parents and guardians as we enter a new school year.

Pick Up/Drop Off

• Our Drop Off and Pick Up area is at the back of the building.
• If you are dropping your child off, please be sure they are ready for school prior to drop off. Students should be ready to exit the vehicle quickly to avoid traffic back-ups. Parents should remain in their vehicle and be ready to continue moving as soon as your child exits the vehicle. This is not the time to speak with staff or enter the building. Please stay in the line and NEVER cut around cars to ensure student safety. Thank you for your cooperation.
• Drop Off Time: 9:15 AM - 9:30 AM - If you are dropping your child off after 9:30 AM they are considered late and must be signed in at the main office by an adult.
• Pick Up Time: 3:45 PM
• If you are picking your child up, we need a note or an email on file. Please send emails to bernardoj@casdschools.org. If we do not have a note, your child will ride their normal transportation home.
• If your child is an every day pickup student, please be sure to fill out this form to let the office know. Please note this is for EVERY DAY pick-ups only! https://www.casdschools.org//cms/module/selectsurvey/TakeSurvey.aspx?SurveyID=171

Transportation

• We will begin dismissing students at 3:45 pm.
• Please allow 15-20 minutes after the drop-off time given to you by transportation for the first few days of school as we often hold busses longer than usual to ensure our students are safely on the correct busses.
• Should you have any transportation concerns, please contact the transportation department directly via email at schoolbus@casdschools.org.

Chromebooks

• Please be sure to send your child back to school with their district-issued Chromebook and charger if they took it home for the summer.
• If your child turned in their Chromebook at the end of the year, they will be distributed within the first few days of school.
• If your child is in kindergarten or new to the district, laptops will be distributed within the first weeks of school.
• Technology Insurance Fees (TIF) can be made via RevTrak on the school district’s website: https://coatesvillearea.revtrak.net/casd-technology/.
• Should you have any technology concerns please contact our Technology Department at ithelpdesk@casdschools.org.

Contact Information

• It is imperative to have the most updated contact information for our families. Please ensure that we have your most updated phone numbers, home addresses and email addresses.
• Please be sure to read the Monday Morning Messages each week for important information.
• Your child will be coming home with a red communication folder that should travel to and from school each day. Please check this folder for important information from the school. There are forms in the folder that we need returned back to school. Thank you for your help in completing and returning the necessary forms.

Breakfast/Lunch

• All students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch. Parents do not have to fill out any forms as all students are eligible for this service.
• Students can still bring lunch if they choose to.
• Snacks will be available for purchase in September.

Water Bottles

• We have various water bottle filling stations. To reduce waste, we are requesting that everyone bring a reusable water bottle to school.

We had the most amazing turnout for our Back-to-School Night last Thursday. Families had the opportunity to meet with new teachers, tour the building and have some extra fun in our related arts class. With all of the buzz on Thursday evening, we just know it's going to be a great year!

On August 18th, we had the privilege of welcoming our youngest scholars into the building for Kindergarten Orientation. It was wonderful to connect with our newest members of the East Fallowfield Family.

Our kindergarten students had the opportunity to meet their teachers, see their new school, and ride a school bus. All of our students had their chance to participate in our "Kindergarten Signing Day." Below are just a few of the pictures from our event. The district is continuing our contract with A Child’s Place as our before and after care provider. Please see the attached flyer below for information about rates and how to enroll your child. We are happy to announce that we will have both before and after care at East Fallowfield this year!
