Teacher Appreciation Month

Please join us in celebrating some of the hardest working, most caring teachers around. Each day in May we will celebrate a Buchanan High School Teacher and honor their dedication to their students and school community. I couldn't ask to be a part of a more cohesive, loving, comical bunch of teachers and I am so proud to be a part of this BUCK FAMILY!

I like Mrs. Adkerson because she is an amazing teacher. During our stay at home break she gave my grade the opportunity to do a virtual book club. I really appreciated this because it gave me something to look forward to. She is also a really nice and understanding teacher.

My first hour teacher is Mrs. Adkerson. And I like the way she explained how to do the assignments in person before we did them instead of writing it in the assignment sometimes. Like she'd tell us what to do instead of writing directions and having us figure it out for ourselves. Plus she let us make bee finger puppet things, that was fun.

Mrs. Adkerson is really good at teaching her students the subject of English. I have never seen students so into what they are reading until I reached the 8th grade year. Personally, I got better at writing sentences. When I would write, I would write with okay complete sentences. Today this day, I feel like my writing has been sky rocketed to good author level when I decide to write short stories in my free time.

Mrs Adkerson - She’s a really good teacher and i really like her class. her class gets challenging for me but her and i work it out pretty well. out of all of the 8th grade teachers she’s the one who shows the most school spirit.

Mrs.Adkerson - we share a love of reading and shes pretty funny and nice but she is also very honest

Ms. Adkerson_ you have always found a way for your students to understand new things, you dont give up on us. I love hearing those stories that you tell us about your family. im going to miss having you as my teacher.

Thank you Mrs. Adkerson for agreeing with me in a lot of things like the time I was working with someone who wouldn’t do their work so I wouldn’t give the answers to him unless he helped and you agreed.

Mrs. Adkerson ran a very strict classroom, something I enjoy. In my grade, there are a lot of people who act like they are above everything, so its great to see them get knocked down a few pegs by a teacher who wants their students to learn, not goof off. She also supported me in all of my writing efforts, and her encouragement was something I needed this year.

Mrs. Adkerson- I like how she does group work. I would normally pick a group of my friends, but she assigned people that I would never pick in a group, and I like that.

Mrs. Adkerson: I like how she doesn't tolerate bad behavior. And if you are misbehaving she will put you in your place

Mrs. Adkerson class is not easy, but she does make it possible to do. She make the class fair and make the assignment not so repetitive and makes everything I did was more enjoyable.
