Our district is hosting the state's Google Conference on Monday, November 5th and Tuesday, November 6th. Therefore, school will not be in session for students.

When making changes to your child's after school pick-up/transportation schedule, please be sure to contact the Learning Center Office. Teachers do not always have the chance to check their email or listen to their voice messages during the school day, not to mention, if there happens to be a substitute teacher in the classroom, there is no way for them to get a message. Thank you in advance for your help with this.

On Monday, November 19th, the Township will be closing Third Street for the day in order to complete their road work. This will impact our routine at the end of the school day for those students that ride the bus. Due to the heavy congestion in the parking lot and the inability to use Third Street, we will be transporting Learning Center bus riders to the Elementary School prior to the release of the elementary students. Rest assured, all of the Learning Center students will be situated on the correct buses before any of the elementary students board the buses. All students that are picked up at the end of the day should plan on following the exact same protocol as every other day.

Starting at 3:15, our bus riders will be transported (by bus) to the Elementary School, at which point their teachers will support the students as they transfer to the correct bus. If you could be sure to make any necessary transportation changes prior to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, that would be greatly appreciated.

Today is the end of the first marking period, which means we are 25% of the way through the school year already. Report cards will be made available in Skyward on by mid-day on Monday, November 12th. Teachers will also be providing you with a copy of the report card at Parent/Teacher Conferences. If you have any problems accessing Skyward, please be sure to contact our office at 989-695-5721.

In honor of Veterans Day on Sunday, November 11th, the staff at the Learning Center would like to say THANK YOU to all of our men and women in uniform, past and present, for the sacrifices you have made to protect our freedoms.

Thank you to everyone that was able to make it out to Family Literacy Night on October 23rd! The staff had a great time sharing different strategies and activities with you and your student.

Don't forget that daylight savings time ends on Sunday, November 4th.

For planning purposes, the annual Kindergarten Holiday Performance will be held on Wednesday, December 19th at 6:30 p.m. at Freeland High School in the Performing Arts Center.

All of our classroom Christmas parties will take place in the afternoon on Thursday, December 20th. More information will be provided in the coming weeks, but thought some advance notice would be helpful.
