English Learner Advisory Council (ELAC)and School Site Council (SSC) Nominations due August 21

Information about ELAC and SSC, as well as nomination forms, are in your blue packet from walkthrough. We have a parent few spots to fill on both committees for this year. If you are interested, please turn in the nomination form by Monday, August 21. If you have questions, please call or come to the office. We appreciate your support!

School Uniforms

Students are required to wear a school uniform each day.

Uniform Tops

Uniform top options: a collared polo shirt in white, light blue, navy blue, light yellow, or gold, or a Sutter school spirit shirt.

Uniform Bottoms

Jeans or dark denim with no rips or holes.

Navy or Khaki pants, shorts, skirts, or uniform dresses.

Leggings must be worn under shorts, skirts or dresses. Leggings cannot be worn on their own.

Back to School Night

This night is an information night for parents. If you can, we encourage you to come without your children so you can focus on the important information teachers want to provide you. We will not have any activities for your children.

Friday, August 18 is a minimum day. Students are released early that day:

TK/K 11:25 am

Grades 1-3 11:32 am

Grades 4-5 11:35 am

Lost and Found -

Please write your student's name on items (water bottles, backpacks, lunch boxes, and jackets) in sharpie. We have a lost and found, but labeling items will help get them back to their rightful owner.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS AT SCHOOL

We announce student birthdays during the morning announcements. We want to remind you that school birthday treats (cupcakes or other sweets) are not allowed. If you would like to send something for your child's classmates, you can provide a goodie bag for your student to pass out at the end of the day to their classmates.

BACR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

We have had a successful start to our after school program and are accepting applications to add additional students when more staff is hired. If you want your child added to the BACR waitlist, please fill out an application from the office. The BACR coordinator for Sutter, Mr. Bryan, will call families when your student(s) are admitted into the program.

Morning Drop Off

Students can be dropped off at 7:40 am to get school breakfast. We do not have supervision earlier than this, so please do not drop off your student prior to 7:40 am. Thank you.

FIRST GRADE PHYSICALS

All first graders must have an annual checkup with their pediatrician. If you have not turned in your student's state-required first grade physical form, please do so as soon as possible to Mrs. Nancey in the office.
