The Prairie State

Illinois joined the United States on December 3rd, 1818 as the 21st state. The capital of Illinois is Springfield. The state bird of Illinois is a cardinal. There's at least one foot of snow there every year. Bundle up!

Sports

The reason I chose the state of Illinois is because my mom was born in a suburb of Illinois' largest city, Chicago. I like most of the Chicago teams like the Chicago Cubs (MLB); the Chicago Blackhawks (NHL); the Chicago Bears (NFL);and the Chicago Bulls (NBA).
