Open Days at Kennedy School
Dear Parents,
It was lovely to see so many parents in person visiting Kennedy School. We hope you enjoyed visiting your child's class as well as all the other learning areas at Kennedy School!
Where We Are in Place and Time
Central Idea: Location can influence how individuals interact with each other and their environment.
The students will inquire through a variety of learning engagements based on the following Lines of Inquiry:
- Form: The geography of a place.
- Causation: The relationships of our location to other parts of the world.
- Change: How features of a place influence our interactions.
How We Express Ourselves
Central Idea: Developing our skills and techniques in the arts can allow us to share our creativity, feelings and ideas.
The Lines of Inquiry are:
Function: How different forms of art communicate ideas, feelings and creativity.
Perspective: How people interpret and respond to the Arts differently.
Reflection: How we can use the Arts to express our feelings, creativity and ideas.
Alongside our Where We Are in Place and Time unit, we have also looked at How We Express Ourselves through different types of art. Students have created landscape paintings based on the geography surrounding Kennedy School.

Extended Buddy Time at HKU
Only exception will be if the children don’t have a vaccination.
They can do sports/games at HKU or bring games, cards, to play with, books to read with their buddy or a towel to sit on if they would like to. We’d like them to connect with their buddies and/or other other friends across Year 3 and Year 6.
Below outlines when each class will go to HKU:
3F with 6RI - Monday
3S with 6RO - Tuesday
3R with 6N - Wednesday
3C with 3C - Thursday
3H with 6W- Friday
Happy Buddy times!
Parent Volunteers for snack time duty at Stanley Ho Sports Centre
We are still looking for parent volunteers who are willing to come across with us one or more days a week. The time commitment is 10.40 am to 11.20 am each day.
For the safety of the children, we will request that parent helpers must be fully vaccinated and complete a Rapid Antigent Test with a negative test result on the morning before coming to school.
All parent volunteers would need to complete the Child Protection declaration in the Gateway in advance.
Please fill in the Google Form here if you are able to help and your help is much appreciated. Thank you!
