Join us tomorrow for our first GLOBE Elementary community session
Join representatives from GLOBE's Board of Directors, our Executive Director, and our partners at Freespace Architecture at LC’s Village Plaza, tomorrow, Thursday, May 11 at 8:30 a.m.
In this session, you will be able to learn more about GLOBE Elementary, ask questions (you may wish to review the FAQs first), and provide input on our school’s new home for kindergarten through 5th grade. The session will also be streamed live on our YouTube channel, and available to view at your convenience.
Please note that, in order to allow students to get settled in their classrooms, parents will not be permitted to enter LC before 8:20 a.m. We look forward to seeing you.
PTCC celebrates Staff Appreciation Week
This week is Staff Appreciation Week. The PTCC has planned five days of treats for GLOBE's incredible staff, and we know they'd love to receive expressions of thanks from their students, too. Please consider encouraging your kids to send in notes of appreciation any day this week. And to any staff reading this, thank you so much for all you do for our students and our community. We are so lucky!
End-of-Year Survey
As part of GLOBE's charter, we are required to report parents' overall satisfaction with their children's education each year. An email was sent to GLOBE families on Tuesday, May 9. If you did not receive the email, please click here. The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete.

Purchase tickets
Tickets can be purchased at MyPaymentsPlus.
The GLOBE Academy feels that financial reasons are never a reason a child should not attend an activity. Please complete this form if you need assistance paying for this activity.
Science Fair (4th and 5th grade)
A reminder that the 4th and 5th grade Science Fair takes place this week. Families of the students are invited to attend. It will be held in the cafeteria on Thursday, May 11, from 9am to 11am for 4th grade, and Friday, May 12, from 9am to 11am for 5th grade.
Students had lots of fun participating in our UC Field Days last week. The weather held out until the very end, when it started to rain, but the students didn't mind.

Board of Directors
Strategic planning
Please remember to share your input on the 2024–29 strategic plan. We want to get a clear understanding of what is most important to our community, so we can use these priorities to shape GLOBE’s next five years.
This survey is deliberately open-ended; as the design of our strategic plan progresses, you’ll see additional opportunities to provide more narrowly focused input.
Committee recruitment
The Board continues to seek volunteers for committee service. If you are interested in getting involved, please let us know.
Covid Corner
Our COVID response team has prepared a final COVID Communiqué for the 2022/23 school year, which provides updated information and news about upgrades to prevention strategies.
As the Public Health Emergency declaration for Covid 19 comes to an end, GLOBE would like to thank Kayla Rogers and the team at Emory University for their support as they worked to help keep our community safe, healthy, and in the classrooms. Kayla has successfully completed the public health part of her degree program, and we wish her well as she transitions back to nursing school. To view the latest Covid Communique (vol. 18), click here.
Would you like to be a Host Family in 2023/24?
GLOBE is looking for Host Families for the year 2023/24. Language Support Assistants (LSA) from China, France, and Spain, are an essential piece of instruction at The GLOBE Academy and we are excited to have the opportunity to continue this wonderful support program. Please reach out to Mrs. Daphna Malka if you are interested in hosting.
