Welcome to the Month of May Everybody!
Come Monday, we will have made it to the final Month of school!
First off, I wanted to commend all your students for an exceptional day of STAAR testing last Tuesday. Sitting that still, with that much focus for the whole day is no easy task, but I was very impressed by everyone's ability to cooperate and give their all. Thank you to PTA for providing testing snacks, our teachers for actively monitoring the test all day, and to our assistant principal, Mrs. Baker, for organizing a flawless day of testing.
Second, I want to give a huge shoutout to our PTA for organizing the Spring Fling last night--even with the weather we had a fantastic turnout. Thank you to Robert Dixon with the DBL XX PitStop for the delicious hamburgers, Chris Burns for the snow-cones and ice cream treats, and to Patty Tarrant & Keelia Nissen for all their hard work and planning--The students loved it!
Reminder that 5th Grade Science STAAR is Tuesday, May 2. Let's make sure your 5th graders are getting adequate rest and nutrition on the days leading up to this exam. Your kiddos are very prepared and will do fantastic.
