Quarter 1 Newsletter 2022
A Message From the Principal
Dear SAC Families & Community,
The first quarter is complete, and I am so proud of the accomplishments of our students and teachers. Thank you for supporting your children this first quarter with getting into routines and connecting with teachers on how to best support your child. With the end of the quarter, students are encouraged to set goals for themselves. Please help continue the encouragement throughout the next quarter.
This year we have many new updates we will share with you. We have expanded and our current enrollment has increased significantly this year. In particular, we are grateful to have opened two class sections of Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. We also began our upper grades Gifted Program and partnered with Northwestern University for cogAT testing to determine eligibility. We have also developed our schoolwide ESL program and will be providing consistent services for students that have been tested with the local district's ACCESS testing. In our upper grades, we are now offering an additional special this year, PLTW which provides students engineering classes. In our lower grades K-3, we also added STEM classes per week to enrich student learning.
Also as we enter into November, the month of giving thanks, I want each and every one of you to know just how thankful we are for our families. Thank you for supporting your children every day, getting them to school on time, and loving them endlessly. Without our amazing community, our school would not be the wonderful place that it is. Thank you for being an integral part of the home and school connection. I wish each and every one of you a month filled with love and gratitude!
Sincerely,
Ms. Bartucci
Principal
