Cookies for Murph!

Blair Oaks High School Cookie Drive

The Jefferson City Community will once again help Maureen Murphy bake cookies for sailors on the USS Murphy, a destroyer based out of Hawaii. The USS Michael Murphy (DDG-112) is named after her son, who is a Medal of Honor recipient, who was killed in action in Afghanistan during 2005. Our goal is to bake a variety of cookies and place them in Ziploc bags and ship them for the sailors.

Please donate money to help pay for shipping cost. Checks should be made payable to: Blair Oaks. Also, gather with your friends and family to bake cookies. Place the cookies in Ziploc bags and bring them to Blair Oaks High School on Wednesday, November 29th. The cookies will be shipped out that night. Any variety of cookie will be greatly appreciated!

Buffalo Wild Wings Fundraiser

Mark your calendars and make plans to have some wings and fun at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wednesday, November 29th, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The above ticket should be presented in order for 15% of the proceeds to benefit Blair Oaks Project Grad!

This will be a fun evening for families, friends, and sports teams to gather and enjoy time together!

Dick's Sporting Goods Winter Shopping Event

The Jr Falcons Football and Cheer program is sponsoring a winter shopping event on Saturday and Sunday, December 2-3, 2017, at Dick’s Sporting Goods. The link below may be used to print the 20% off (nearly) everything coupon for Blair Oaks families to enjoy. Printed or phone coupon will be accepted at checkout. The coupon CAN be used in conjunction with the ‘$10 off’ gold card that the high school football team sold earlier in the season.

Dual Credit Classes

Students taking second semester dual credit classes must register for those classes prior to Christmas break.

· December 5th - State Technical College enrollment and registration, 1st and 2nd period

· December 7th - CMU enrollment and registration

All enrollments and payments for both STCM and CMU classes will be due by Thursday, December 14th.

2nd semester schedule changes

· Schedule change forms may be picked up from the student's counselor.

· All second semester schedule changes must be made prior to Christmas break.

· Any student wanting to drop or enter a year-long class will need to complete a schedule change form and get 4 required signatures

Cancellations

Information regarding school closings or schedule changes due to extreme weather will be posted on the cancellation page of the Blair Oaks district website as soon as a decision is made. Typically, a decision to close school is made just prior to 6:00 AM on the morning in question. On days that our district is closed, our broadcast telephone messaging system will call all district families at their primary contact number at approximately 6:00 AM to announce the closing. The Blair Oaks R-II School District will post school closings or schedule changes on the local radio and television stations.
