Welcome Back Newsletter 2022-2023

Dear Evergreen Families,

On behalf of our entire staff, we welcome you to another exciting year at Evergreen. We hope everyone of our Evergreen families are having an enjoyable summer, relaxing and having some fun in the sun! This newsletter aims to give you information about the upcoming school year. Please see our communication outlets below for updated information on school activities, news, and events.

Dr. Cardenas, Principal

Class assignments will be posted outside the office at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 5th, and remain there until Monday, August 8 at 8:00 am. You can also log into your Aeries Parent Portal to find your child’s teacher assignment on August 5 at 5:00 pm. Data Confirmation has to be completed before you can view your child's teacher. After completing this, click the “Student Info” tab and the “Supplemental” tab. You will be able to see your teacher assignment here. If you have any problems getting into your Parent Portal, please go to our school website https://www.evergreeneagles.org/ and look under the “Parents” tab for directions.

The first day of school is scheduled for August 8, 2022. The first day of school is a minimum day. Please note the following grade level dismissal times:

TK/K....................11:35 AM

1st-5th.................11:45 AM

Parents will be allowed to enter the campus to walk their child(ren) to their classroom. Parents may not enter the classroom.

There will also be a Principal/Parent meeting at 8:15 outdoors in the amphitheater. Everyone is welcome to attend.

You are encouraged to attend Back to School Night(s). Teachers will outline their instructional program for the year. More information will be shared by your child's teacher.

TK/K - 8/10 at 6:00

1st grade- 8/9 at 5:30

2nd grade- 8/9 at 5:30

3rd grade- 8/10 at 5:30

4th grade- 8/10 at 5:30 plus Band/Choir meeting with Mr. Mast

5th grade- 8/18 at 5:30 plus Band/Choir meeting with Mr. Mast

ASDi primary - 8/4 5:30

ASDi upper - 8/18 5:30

Breakfast and Lunch will be free for all students for the 2022-2023 school year. Students can still bring lunch if they opt to. Lunch count will be taken every morning. Menus are available at www.walnutnutrition.org. Please note that menus are subject to change due to supply chain issues. Students with food allergies or requiring meal accommodations need a signed “Medical Statement Form” on file with Nutrition Services. This form is available on the website at www.walnutnutrition.org and must be turned into the nutrition services department.

Although every student receives a free breakfast and lunch, it is important that an application be completed. Please click this link for more information.

If you are planning on providing to your child, we ask that you please bring it to the office no later than 9:30 AM labeled with your child's name and classroom.
