October Bounce
I am welcoming NCBCC members and their dogs to my house on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 1:30. This is going to be a very peculiar gathering, given COVID. Please RSVP to me by Oct. 1 at BRYNACAP@VERIZON.NET. NOTE: this is a correction of an earlier email address in a previous newsletter!
Alas, this will be a gathering like no other, and I have to set restrictions to make it work. The result is that this will be an exceptionally weather-dependent meeting.
No more than 15 people can attend. (Not typically a problem.)
No one with a fever or symptoms of COVID19, a positive diagnostic test for the virus that causes COVID-19 in the prior 10 days, or known exposure to a COVID-19 case in the prior 14 days, is permitted.
Visitors will be allowed in the house ONLY to use the bathroom.
You must wear a mask over both mouth and nose while in the house.
You have your choice of wearing a fresh pair of vinyl gloves (will be provided), OR taking a Clorox wipe (also provided) and wiping down everything you touch on your way back out.
I can’t figure out any way to provide food for this many people in a COVID safe manner. SO, BYOF—Bring Your Own Food (utensils, napkins, etc.). I know, this kills me too. Sigh.
I’ll provide beverages, whether hot or cold cider, wine, beer, or cold water. I’ll also have untouched disposable cups, which you may feel free to wipe down anyway. These will be on the back porch.
If you are outside, it’s up to you as to whether you wear a mask, but please maintain social distance from those not in your household.
If you are getting a beverage on the porch, please put on a mask, unless you are the only one there.
I have 6 chairs that I can take outside, and a long concrete ledge to sit on. You may want to bring a more comfy chair.
FINALLY, and obviously, I repeat that this gathering will be exceptionally weather-dependent. So do all of your anti-rain dances. And email me if in doubt.
Lynne
