3rd Grade Lectio Divina
Divine Mercy Sunday, the first Sunday after Easter is quickly approaching. Lectio Divina classes will be learning to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, a prayer that was given to us directly by Jesus through St. Faustina Kowalska. Next week we will learn more details about the devotion in our Lectio Divina classes. Please be sure to ask your child what they have learned and perhaps they might even lead your family in praying the devotion. Father Jairo kindly blessed rosaries for third grade students to use while praying the Chaplet.
For more information about the Divine Mercy message and devotions go to: https://www.thedivinemercy.org/
5th Grade
6th Grade Religion
The 6th Grade Religion class has been reading self-selected books about inspiring saints. The goal of the book report was to take the information about the saints and make it into an unusual and attractive project. Students used their spatial visualization skills and made a dodecahedron--an interesting solid shape with 12 pentagonal faces. It has 30 edges, 20 corners, and at each corner 3 edges meet. It took skills that were very precise to make the figure. We are excited to see how well they came together and hope you like our work too!
