Bear Creek 2nd Grade

Hi Everyone!

We wanted to thank you for your support, patience and understanding during our first week of virtual learning! The kids did great and we are so proud of the courage and resilience they are showing as we learn new things together!

As you know, there were difficulties with some of the apps, but all should be working this week. As a reminder, the easiest way to login to various apps and programs will be through your child's portal. Login instructions are listed below for those still needing help navigating portal and blend.

This week we will continue with syncronous and asyncronous instruction. During asyncronous time your child will have 1-2 MUST DO activities (labeled in See Saw) as well as a CHOICE BOARD on their blend page. Here you will find additional activities for your child to work on when their must do activities are complete.

What we are learning this week:

English/Language Arts:

- Identifying Character Traits and Making Mental Images in Reading

- Using math tools to develop skills related to addition and subtraction facts.

This week in SEL we are learning about what it means to be a Bear Creek Cub! Last week we worked on making connections and we showed courage each day as we showed up to class in a new virtual setting! This week we will learn all about another one of our values-empathy.
