After three weeks of school, we have settled in to the school year! It feels so great to have all of our Phelps students back together in school!

Students have adjusted well to school life and are working hard in their classrooms. It is so nice to see full classrooms again. Students are doing a great job keeping their masks on throughout the day and are remembering to wash their hands!

We have noticed an increase in the amount of students signing in to school tardy. As a reminder, drop off begins at 8:45 a.m. and goes until 9:05 a.m. Students are marked tardy after 9:05 a.m.

We also ask that parents do not cut around other cars in both the drop off and pick up lines (unless directed by a staff member). Some students exit and enter their vehicles on both sides and we want to make sure that all students can safely do so.

We are excited to celebrate the beginning of the 2021-2022 school-year with the return of our PBIS Kick-off. On Wednesday, September 29th we will celebrate with fun outdoor activities such as a Dance Party, Pumpkin Ring Toss, Clothing Relay race and a few others choices. Students are asked to "Celebrate Agawam" by wearing any Agawam gear they may have or any orange and/or brown. The weather looks beautiful, and we can't wait to have some fun with the kids!

School picture day is Tuesday, October 19. More information will be sent home soon!

Parent conferences will be scheduled on Thursday, October 21. This will be a half day of school for students. Parents will have the option of scheduling meetings in-person or virtually. Classroom teachers will be sending out information soon on how to sign up.

Students will receive their free ticket to the Big E at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29. Tickets will not be available to students who are dismissed early.
