Just some of the areas covered were academic language development, DLE program development, effective literacy, early childhood / exceptional education, sociocultural responsiveness, indigenous language immersion, dual language immersion programs, and integrating technology and online instruction.

Tickets start at $35 and include $10 worth of food and beverage credit. A portion of each ticket purchased through this offer will benefit The GLOBE Academy PTCC. Tickets are likely to sell out so purchase your tickets today! And… tickets make great holiday gifts!
Buying Minted holiday cards — use our promo code
Planning to order family holiday cards? Consider ordering from Minted, and use our promo code. You'll get 20% off your purchase price, and GLOBE PTCC will get a 15% donation. When placing an order, simply enter FUNDRAISEGLOBE in the promo code box at checkout.
Lost and Found: Please label your items!
Parent volunteers return labeled items to the owner's classroom. If your items are not labeled, they may never make it back home. Please take a moment to find a labeling solution that will work for you. Here are some ideas to get you started: Avery No-Iron Kids Clothing Labels, Sharpie Fabric Marker, and Mabel's Labels (customizable labels and stamps, dishwasher and laundry safe. Enter "The GLOBE Academy" in the "support a fundraiser" field, and they'll donate 20% back to GLOBE!).
Volunteer hours can help GLOBE receive grants
Did you know that when you volunteer, it can help GLOBE receive grants? Some donors want to know how involved the community is. We can show them that parents are invested in the school by sharing the volunteer hours we have tracked. So please remember to log your hours here. When you log your time, you'll also be entered in our drawing for a volunteer-of-the-month carpool flag. As a reminder, each family is requested to volunteer ten hours each year. To see current volunteer opportunities, click here. Thank you for volunteering at GLOBE.
Shopping can help GLOBE!
Did you know when you shop at places like Publix, Kroger, and OfficeMax/Office Depot, they will donate to GLOBE PTCC? To find out how to easily set this up, click here. Every penny counts!

Athletics
Basketball
The boys A team are #1 in the MAAC Conference going into the winter break. They defeated Ridgeview 51–44 in front of a packed gym on Tuesday night. Congratulations to the players and coaches!
Meanwhile, the girls team lost a very close game to Ridgeview 33–30. GLOBE played them last year in the championship, so hopefully we will get to see them again in the playoffs.
Soccer
The soccer team had their end of season banquet on Monday, December 11. Congratulations to the players receiving awards and to the coaches who were presented with a runner up banner that will be displayed alongside our other accolades in the gym. The team finished 2nd out of 10 teams in the MAAC - we are proud of you all! Alex Delgado was also recognized as September's Athlete of the Month for soccer during the banquet.
