Jordan School District March, 2017
Conference date March 16-17 held on University of Utah Campus - Registration is now open
WHAT IS THE UCET CONFERENCE?
UCET is holding our annual conference on March 16 & 17, 2017 at the University of Utah. This conference provides many hands-on breakout sessions on ways to utilize technology in teaching and learning, and is perfect for educators of every grade level or subject area who are interested in technology integration. Last year over 1300 educators attended the conference to particpate, present, and lead activities. The theme for the March conference is “UCET4Success”.
WHAT DOES UCET4SUCCESS MEAN?
The Utah State Government approved the "Digital Teaching and Learning" bill this past year and allocated millions of dollars for the purchase of instructional technology equipment in Utah Public and Charter Schools. As school districts begin planning to spend this money and invest in new devices and infrastructure, our organization works to support the teachers and students learning to adapt to new methods for teaching and learning in an increasingly digital environment. UCET strives to support this change by providing the best Professional Development opportunities, creating a network for teachers to collaborate and share ideas, and hosting a yearly conference to celebrate the successes of teachers and students using instructional technology in Utah Schools. The theme, #UCET4Success asks teachers and students to share how they're preparing for the journey ahead.

What can you do with Google Maps?
Google recently announced that teachers can assign assignments to small groups or even individuals students.
This is a small change (and not a complicated one), but the impact is HUGE. Teachers have been begging for this for a long time!
Ditch That Textbook has some great ideas about using this new feature.
