A Note from Mrs. Pitts
Dear RES Family,
I want to thank those who attended the room parent training this week! We had a great discussion about our wellness policy, event ideas and more. I wanted to share this presentation with EVERYONE as we all do have an obligation to follow our Wellness Policy and this may result in a shift in practice based on a need to align to this policy for the safety and well-being of all our students.
Here are just a couple of QUICK and important messages:
1. All food that enters RES for class/grade level events must have a label.
2 The presentation lists food restrictions for whole grade levels so please note,
3. ALL food must be approved by Lori Flint at least one week prior to an event through email (lflint@sau50.org).
Please reach out if you have any questions.
Have an amazing weekend!
Michelle Pitts, Principal

PLEASE know that our Unified Arts teachers (art, music, PE/Health, STEAM, Outdoor Education, World Language and Library/Media) are all available and willing to sit with families that day if you are interested.

RES Drama Sponsorships Opportunity
In order to continue offering plays in our schools we must raise funds to support the many expenses involved.
One of the biggest ways we do this is to sell Sponsor Ads in our Playbill/Program, seen by hundreds throughout the run of the show.
- Each year we reach out to our community offering an opportunity to support the program in this way.
- Many size options are available.
- Since we are a school-sponsored event, all donations are tax deductible (please consult your tax advisor for more information).

Lunch with Students
We do allow one family member at a time to have lunch with their child(ren) but this is very optional and we don't want families to feel pressured to attend.
- Email resoffice@sau50.org if you would like to attend with the date/time (starting October 1). It is important to anticipate who will be in the building. We love these opportunities for students and their family members but we will always put safety first.
- We do have a focus during this time...eating for energy and brain power!
- Family members must meet the child in the cafeteria and leave from the cafeteria.
- Lunch times are:
Kindergarten-11:45-12:10
First Grade-12:15-12:40
Second Grade-12:15-12:40
Third Grade- 11:15-11:40
Fourth Grade-11:15-11:40
