Hola HHE Familia!
I hope you all are staying safe and warm during this cold weather blast! As we head into this quarter, we are asking for your continued support. In order for your child to be successful, practice skills and learn new material, they must be in school on time, everyday. We appreciate your support with your child's attendance.
We also will need your support with daily homework and reading 20 minutes a day. This extra practice allows your child to be successful during their daily lessons. If you have questions about homework, please contact your child's teacher. We believe in your children and together we will see them shine!

We are in for some chilly weather over the holiday weekend. This is the time of year for colds and the flu. We do not want to experience a drop in attendance along with a drop in weather temperature. Showing up on time every day is an important part of your child’s success. Our high-quality programs will benefit your child, and your child will develop habits and routines that will grow with him/her. Here are some ideas to help your child get to school.
Set a regular bedtime and morning routine
Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before.
Schedule extended trips when school is not in session. Schedule medical appointments after 10 AM or after school.

No queremos experimentar una caída en la asistencia junto con una caída en la temperatura del clima. Llegar a tiempo todos los días es una parte importante del éxito de su hijo. Create a fiesta medal design to honor former Highland Hills Elementary teacher Gina Perales. The medal design should have an Education/Reading Theme. The contest entries will be accepted from Thursday January 11th to Tuesday January 16th. Students received the the Fiesta Medal Contest Entry form last week. If you need an extra one, please contact the HHE Main Office at 210-438-6860. Viva Fiesta!
