How to Safely Visit Oceans, Lakes, and Rivers 🌊🏞️
Spending time at the beach, lake, or river is a great way to stay active, but it's important to stay safe! Natural bodies of water can carry germs that may make you sick if swallowed or if they get into open cuts or wounds.
Here are some tips to stay safe:
✅ Check water conditions before you go—look for closures or advisories.
🚫 Avoid swimming with open cuts or wounds. If you must, cover them with waterproof bandages.
💧 Don’t swallow the water! Natural water sources may contain harmful germs.
🏖️ Keep sand away from your mouth and children’s mouths—it can carry germs too.
🚽 Take regular bathroom breaks for kids and change diapers away from the water.
Enjoy your time in the water safely! If you have questions, feel free to reach out.
Stay safe and have fun!
CTE Industry Partners
Dear Parents and Community Members,
We’re excited to grow our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and are looking for community and industry partners to support our students’ career readiness. We’d love to connect with individuals or organizations who can:
- Visit our campus to share insights about their careers.
- Offer job shadowing opportunities for students.
- Provide on-site tours of their companies.
- Join our CTE Advisory Committee to help shape program development.
If you or someone you know is interested in partnering with us, please email Bloomington Secondary CTE Coordinator, Reginald Adcock - reginald.adcock@bisd-tx.org
Thank you for your continued support in helping our students prepare for bright futures!
FAFSA Graduation Requirement
As part of the graduation requirements, all seniors must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or submit the Texas Financial Aid Opt-Out Form if they choose not to apply. This ensures students explore available financial aid opportunities or formally decline participation. For assistance or more information, please contact [insert relevant contact or office].
A representative from Victoria College will be on campus on January 30th to assist in completing the FAFSA.
Prepare To Fill Out the 2025–26 FAFSA® Form
Here are some ways you can get ready to fill out your FAFSA form:
Create a StudentAid.gov account (if you don’t already have one).
Learn about the documents you may need to fill out the FAFSA form.
Determine your dependency status and whether your parent(s) or spouse will be required to contribute information on your FAFSA form.
If you’re a dependent student, use the Who’s My FAFSA Parent? wizard to identify which parent(s) will be a required contributor on your form.
You will need your parent(s)/guardians Date of Birth, Social, and Email address.
FAFSA Support and Data Protection
FAFSA Privacy and Data Protection:
FAFSA information is strictly confidential and used solely for determining financial aid eligibility.
The U.S. Department of Education protects FAFSA data under federal privacy laws such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), ensuring information is not shared with immigration or law enforcement agencies.
Schools and districts are trained to explain these protections to families, reassuring parents that reporting their information is safe and secure.
