Principal's Message
Dear OMS Families,
On Thursday, January 25th, we reached the halfway point for Trimester 2 which also means we are halfway through the school year. If you have not already, please log into the Parent Portal to view your student's grades to see their progress. You can view your child's Trimester 2 progress report grade under the "P2" column. Reminder, all students can get academic support from teachers after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:15 - 2:45pm. If your student is absent, they are still responsible for making up any missed work. I recommend reaching out to the teachers to make a plan to stay after school to catch up on missed lessons and assignments. The last day of Trimester 2 is March 15th.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Crowley

Team Meetings
During the school year, we hold team meetings to provide reminders to students about academic and behavior expectations.
In Trimester 1, team meetings were held in the Cafetorium where school counselors and administrators spoke with students in a team-wide assembly. In Trimester 2, school counselors and administrators are conducting team meetings in smaller groups in the classrooms. They are sharing updates about how students can view their trimester grades and final grades, grade requirements to avoid summer school, attendance and tardiness expectations, and behavior expectations in school. In Grade 8, they are also reviewing information regarding high school applications for students who are applying to other schools and the SHS course selection process.
This week, school counselors and administrators spoke with teams 7A, 7B, 7C, and 8B. Next week, they will visit teams 8A, 8C, and all of the Grade 6 teams.
