Dear CES Family,

A few things for you:

• First Trimester grades are available for all students in their Parent Portal account. Please take a look and discuss the information with your student. Have questions? Don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher
• There are two Christmas/Holiday music events that you are invited to attend: Tuesday, 12/12 at 6:00 p.m. in the CES gym for grade 4-6 (along with the CHS music students) and Wednesday, 12/13, at 8:30 a.m. in the gym for grades TK-6.
• On Thursday, December 21st, we will be holding an awards assembly for students in grades 4-6 starting at 8:30a.m. in the CES gym that will reflect student successes for the first third of the school year. We'd love to have you in attendance!

Time to start dressing for snow and cold weather! Unless it's raining, we're outdoors in the snow and the cold. Remember the gear: gloves, hats, snow bibs, jackets and snow boots. All of this will make your child's time outdoors much more enjoyable. When the snow comes and the snow hills appear on the playground, this gear will be required on the snow hills. Also, please remember to send a pair of tennis shoes with your student each day! This is important for PE and exercise times. Thank you!

School attendance matters! Students who are in school simply do better and learn more. Some of you have had questions about what constitutes an unexcused versus excused absence, so we've put together a cheat sheet for you. Thanks to parent volunteer Tanya Miller, we have a website set up for selling quality Volcano spirit wear! Click here to access the website. It's open until December 13. Delivery time is estimated to be two to three weeks. Sorry, won't make it for Christmas! We will re-open the website periodically throughout the year.
