Dear Hueneme Elementary Families,

As we begin to wind down the 2020-2021 school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for all that you have done this year! This year has been like no other year in education. We worked from home, teachers learned how to online teach, families learned more about devices and programs, everyone practiced being resilient, we returned to hybrid learning... and all in just one school year! It has been my pleasure to serve as principal here at Hueneme Elementary School.

Next year for the 2021-2022 school year, we plan to be in person and back to a regular school schedule.

Below you will find information regarding the last days of school.


Last day of School: Our last day of school is Friday, June 18th. Please see below for the time change for that day as well as Thursday, June 17th.


Report Cards: Report cards will be sent home with students on Friday, June 18th.

STAR REPORTS: This summer, you will be receiving the results of the STAR Reading and STAR Math reports via mail. STAR Reading:Grades 2-5 and STAR Math:Grades 3-5.


ASES Program 2021-22: Our ASES enrollment is underway for the 21-22 school year. This will be in person, daily after school. Please stop by the office to pick up an ASES packet.


Hueneme@Home 2021-22: The final days are upon us to enroll in H@H for the 21-22 school year. Priority enrollment ends on Tuesday, June 1st. Please click the link for the google form if your family interested. https://forms.gle/C4NwEiHb9uAuA4vG7


First day of School 2021-22: The first day of school for students will be Thursday, August 26th.


Summer Registration Hours: Hueneme office will be open in July and August for new student registration. Please visit our website later this month to see the dates and times.

Student Symptom Tree: *Reminder* Please do a passive screening with your child prior to coming to school. If you notice any of the symptoms on the flyer(see link below), your child may not be able to come onto campus. Please call the office if you have any questions.

Device Collection

On Wednesday, June 16 and Thursday, June 17 Hueneme will be collecting devices from our students. Please start looking for chargers, chromebook sleeves, hotspots, and all devices that were checked out to students in the fall.

Schedule Change June 17&June 18

Hueneme will have a schedule change for the last two days of school. Please click on the link to view start and end times for those two days. To be in compliance with our state senate bill, teachers will assign asynchronous work.

Textbook Return

Please return ALL text books by Tuesday, June 1st. We are working hard to collect, inventory, and order our books for the next year. Thank you in advance for your help!

Eat Well, Be Well- Parent Meeting

Join us for our next virtual parent meeting on June 3rd at 6pm. Clinicas Del Camino Real will be doing a presentation about nutrition. They will share tips and ideas for keeping your family active and healthy. We will also share resources for summer activities in our community for your kids. School Lunch Pick up at Hueneme

If you are picking up a school lunch at Hueneme the NEW times are 12:00-1:00 on Tuesday and Thursday. The pick up location is at the back gate near the cafeteria.
