Principal's Message
It is amazing the energy students bring to campus at the start of each year. We are so excited to see them again in our classes, walking the halls, and hanging out at lunch. We have such awesome students. In these first few days, we can see their kindness as they help students they don't know, their patience as others might be walking a little slower as they look for their class, and the way they pick up after themselves after eating lunch. (Yes, they do know how to do that.)
Thank you for supporting these efforts at home, for encouraging them, and for letting us partner with you in their time here at MHS. We are so lucky to have them as our students and to work with you while they attend our school. We are going to have a fantastic year.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Go Trojans!

SCHEDULING YOUR CONFERENCE
Meridian High School will be on an early release schedule so fall conferences can take place on September 14th, 15th, and 16th. Student-led conferences will primarily focus on your student sharing about themselves (strengths, areas of focus, goals for the semester). There will also be an opportunity for the school to share some information on ways we are supporting students in the classroom and also learn from you on ways to help your student at school.
Parent/Guardians can go into their Skyward account to schedule a conference with their student's Homeroom teacher on the either one of those afternoons or the evening of the 14th.
Below are three different ways to review instructions for setting up your conference. There is a video, a tip sheet, and an instruction packet for you to use. Please sign up for a conference this evening. The earlier you schedule your conference the more times available to pick from in the Scheduler.

Patriot Day - September 11th
On September 11, Patriot Day gives all of us time to reflect on the devastating terror attacks that took nearly 3,000 lives. The bravery of American citizens and uniformed personnel in the face of one of the world’s most terrible terrorist attacks is remembered on Patriot Day. On Patriot Day, U.S. flags are lowered halfway, and there is a country-wide moment of silence at 8:46 am (Eastern Daylight Time), which is when the first plane crashed into one of the Twin Towers. Although the attacks were in the U.S., Patriot Day is recognized worldwide as the news devastated and impacted people all over.
