Williams Parent Bulletin
March 2023
We're on the move in March!
Welcome to March and congratulations to our students as they close their second trimester of school! I'd like to express our gratitude to all of the families that participated in last month's Family Focus Group. I'd also like to thank everyone for joining last week's Read Across America Spirit Week activities! We were especially impressed by our students' design entries for the Read Across America Bookmark Contest. A winner was chosen from every grade level (winning entries below).
We look forward to more parent engagement throughout March. We'll start with a free-dress day tomorrow for Spring Pictures (March 7th). This Friday, we'll be celebrating the last day of second trimester by inviting families to our Trimester 2 Family Picnic on March 10th (please see the flyer below). Students will also have an End of the Trimester Early Dismissal day on Friday. Dismissal times will be as follows:
- TK: 8:00-11:51 AM
- K: 8:00-12:15 PM
- Grades 1-3: 8:00-12:35 PM
- Grades 4-5: 8:00-12:45 PM
We are excited to invite everyone to our Spring Open House on March 23rd. After many student and teacher requests to bring the book fair back, I am happy to report that our PTA will also be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair during Open House week: March 20-24.
Not to be left out, our Healthy Start partners will be reaching out to parents and offering workshops where parents can learn strategies to manage their children's behavior, communication and much more. They will be covering super relevant topics such as mental health, social media, healthy relationships, and more. Please see their flyer below for more information on their 6-week series.
Toward the end of the month, our TK and Kindergarten teams will be holding early Spring Parent Conferences from March 27-31. TK/K will be on an early dismissal schedule this week so that teachers may meet with parents.
