AP exam registration - Exam Fees due by October 31.
AP Exam registration is earlier this year for students in first semester or year-long AP classes. Exam fees are due by October 31 for students who are taking first semester or year-long courses. Once again, for the 2020 AP exams, students at Richmond Hill High School will be registering online. This registration will only take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access. Once students complete their registration on Total Registration, they should proceed to myap.collegeboard.org to log into their AP Online Classroom where they will find lots of resources their teachers are using to enhance the learning experience.

Drama Club sponsoring Haunted Forest
This coming weekend is the biggest weekend for the Drama Club's Haunted Forest.
The Haunted Forest is located at 17 South Rod and Gun Club, 5899 N. Coastal HWY, Fleming, GA. The forest is open Friday and Saturday from 730pm to 11pm, rain or shine. The forest will also open on Halloween from 730pm to 11pm. Admission is $20 person.There is a glowstick system to accommodate small children or those with disabilities. Financial Aid Workshop - Monday, October 28th
Please join us on Monday, October 28th from 6-7:30 as we welcome our guest speaker from the Georgia Student Finance Commission, Ms. Carol Lott. Ms. Lott will be available to present important information about the financial aid process and how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. Please bring your laptops, your 2018 income tax returns, and W-2 Forms! You will need these as Ms. Lott works with you to complete the FAFSA.
SAT workshop: Books and Ball-Tuesday, 10/29
Books and Ball SAT workshop is scheduled for *Tuesday, October 29, 6:30-8pm, in the RHHS East cafeteria.

Is your child looking for a job?
Our RHHS Work-Based Learning Program is currently looking for students who are interested in job opportunities!
Participation requirements recently changed, increasing the number of students who are eligible. In order to meet eligibility requirements, students must be at least 16-years-old, listed as a junior or senior, and have passed one CTAE course or at least be registered for a CTAE class, preferably in the career pathway for the position they are seeking. Interested students should see Mrs. Jennifer Sack in Room 602-she can give more information and answer any questions.

Mental Health Workshop planned
Mental Health Workshop
November 18th, 2019
5:30-7:30pm
East Cafeteria
We’ll kick off the event with a resource fair, showcasing several local mental health agencies and their support services. After that, school counselors and agencies will facilitate breakout sessions in an effort to educate parents/guardians on stress management, mindfulness, self-compassion, and resiliency including interactive activities that can be practiced at home. Light refreshments and a self-care toolkit will be provided!
ASVAB to be given on November 6
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will be offered at RHHS on Wednesday, November 6. Students interested in taking this must sign up before November 1st.
The ASVAB is a career exploration 'battery', or series of tests, that assists students in clarifying career goals.
- It is a cost-free and comprehensive program for high school students.
- Students explore occupations in line with interests and skills, and develop strategies to realize career goals.
- The Program presents a full-spectrum of career opportunities to students.
- Career planning tool regardless of post-secondary intentions.
