Why should I read during the Summer?
Your brain is a big important muscle! Each summer while you are away from school it's important to keep exercising you're brain. The best way to keep your brain in shape is to READ! Here are some of my favorite books to read that will keep your brain fit, and ready to get back into the swing of things in September.

Using this story, and drawing parallels to other immigrant journeys would be a great starting point to discuss all the different places that our students ancestors have come from.
