Important Dates for Student Council

Oct. 8th - Student council information packets sent home

Oct. 9th - Teacher evaluations should be given to teachers by students.

Oct. 12th. - Student Council constitution and permission slips due to Mrs. Scribner.

Oct. 14th - Teacher evaluations due to Mrs. Scribner.

Oct.. 16th - Mrs. Scribner will inform students if they are eligible to run.

Oct. 26th - 30th - StuCo campaign week

Oct. 29th - 5th grade officer speeches in the morning.

Oct. 30th - 3rd - 5th-grade representative speeches given in the classroom.

Oct. 30th - Announcement of all Officers and representatives.

If you want your child to change their mode of instruction for the 2nd 9-weeks, please email Mrs. Poteet. The deadline to request the instructional change is October 14th. The change will take effect on October 19th. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Lee will have their own Yearbook for the 2020-2021 school year. We are excited for our very first Lee only yearbook! Click the link below to order a yearbook. Yearbooks are currently $25. Prices increase on Nov. 14.

The class that has sold the most yearbooks by Nov. 13 will earn a SPECIAL SURPRISE!

Dear Parents,

Lee will host the 2020/2021 UIL Academic Competition on February 26, 2021 for grades 2nd-5th. We are in the planning stages for the event. As we are following safety guidelines for this school year, UIL events have looked a little different for spectators. We will keep you informed as the event approaches on our guidelines.

Coaches will be informing students and giving out information about events they have the opportunity to tryout for. If this is something your child is interested in, please encourage them to participate in the tryouts! Be looking for more information about specific tryout dates and times. *Each individual event will have 4 members that compete. Art and Music Team events will have 3-5 members. Students in 2nd grade may compete in 2 events. Students in 3rd-5th may compete in 3 events.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be at Lee Elementary on October 12-16. Students will get to preview items on Friday, Oct. 9 and shop during their scheduled library time the following week. Parents will be able to shop online. Be on the lookout for the book flyer and online link. Remote learners may come to the school on the following day and times to shop our Book Fair.

Remote Learner Shopping Days and Times:

• Monday, October 12: 8:30-10am
• Tuesday, October 13: 9:35-10:15am
• Wednesday, October 14: 8:15-9:00am, 9:15-10:15am

Students will wear orange to represent their commitment to being united and kind! Unity Day is an effort to stop bullying and promote kindness! In addition, on that day all classes will participate in a virtual assembly from the Children's Advocacy Center, Be Kind to Every Kind!

On Thursday, October 15 students will be getting their pictures made for the yearbook. Order forms will be sent home soon for families to place an order. Remote learner photos will be taken at 11:30am on Oct. 15. Order forms can be found in the Google Classroom closer to the picture day. Call the campus number, (903) 527-3162, to let us know you are here to have your photo taken.

• School starts at 8:00 A.M. and ends at 3:30 P.M.
• Tardy bell rings @ 8:00 A.M.

Children not in the building by the 8:00 A.M. bell are considered tardy. Please refer to our

campus handbook regarding our tardy policy. If your child is tardy, please

do not drop your child off. For their safety, your child should be signed in. Please call the office and someone will meet you at the door.

• If your child is absent, please send a note to the office by 3:30 P.M. on the day that they return.

• Please bring tennis shoes everyday for P.E.
