A Note from Mrs. Pitts
Dear RES Families,
We wanted to share some bittersweet news with our RES community. Two incredible educators who have dedicated almost 60 years of service will be retiring at the end of this year. Phoebe Bischoff, a grade 3 teacher, has been at RES for 27 years and has taught in grades 3, 4 and 5. Liz Barrett, our art teacher, has been at RES for 30 years and has taught art, preschool, kindergarten and grades 1, 4 and 5. We will miss them so much but will soak in every moment while we still can!
HAVE A WONDERFUL VACATION!!!!! Take some time to rest, bond and rejuvenate. Our staff will as well and then we will be back together
Here are some photos from our Blue Ribbon Celebration!
With MUCH respect and appreciation,
Michelle
Warmly,
Michelle Pitts

Maple Sugaring
Third graders spent their OE time this week learning about and tapping the maple trees at RES. While it is "early", considering Maple Sugaring traditionally is a March activity, the unusually mild winter weather dictated our start date. We are hoping for a "sweet" harvest. Stay tuned...

Lunch with Students
We do allow one family member at a time to have lunch with their child(ren) but this is very optional and we don't want families to feel pressured to attend.
- Email resoffice@sau50.org if you would like to attend with the date/time (starting October 1). It is important to anticipate who will be in the building. We love these opportunities for students and their family members but we will always put safety first.
- We do have a focus during this time...eating for energy and brain power!
- Family members must meet the child in the cafeteria and leave from the cafeteria.
- Lunch times are:
Kindergarten-11:45-12:10
First Grade-12:15-12:40
Second Grade-12:15-12:40
Third Grade- 11:15-11:40
Fourth Grade-11:15-11:40
