The first day of spring is March 20, 2021! Can you believe we only have 10 more school days until Spring Intersession? Remember both preschool and child care will be closed March 29- April 2. If you need assistance with child care that week, please call the Ransburg YMCA 317-357-8441. With all this talk of spring, don't forget to spring your clocks forward on Sunday when Daylight Saving Time begins. I would also encourage you to add registration for ECC 21-22 to your to do list! Incoming kindergarten students (age five before October 1) and their families are invited to attend Kindergarten Kick-off on Monday, April 19, from 5:30-7:00 p.m., happening at all nine of Warren's elementary school locations. Take a school tour, meet the kindergarten team, and get all of your questions answered about Kindergarten. Online Enrollment opens April 5, 2021.

ECC registration for the 2021-2022 school year is OPEN! The office is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for new enrollment and returning student registration. If you have a child attending ECC now, you may request a packet be sent home with your child. If you have questions or need help, you may contact Mary Crabtree in the front office, 317-869-4751.

ECC's back up supply of clothing is running low. If you have have gently used clothing, sizes 3-7, please consider donating them to ECC. We especially need boys' clothing. If donating underwear, it must be new and in the package. We appreciate your support!

Illness Reporting

We continue to have several absences due to upper respiratory symptoms at ECC. If your child has any symptom(s) of any illness, including cold symptoms, we ask that you keep your child home from school and report their absence and the symptom(s) they are having to their teacher. Nurse Roz will then follow up with you regarding ECC guidelines for returning to school. If you are keeping your child home for other reasons please report that to their teacher as well. Thank You!

When dropping off a child using the main entrance, please be sure your vehicle and belongings are safe. It is best to turn your vehicle off, bring other children to the entrance with you and lock your vehicle with belongings out of sight. ECC has experienced vehicle theft (when left running/keys are inside) and theft of belongings (visible from the windows) while parents/caregivers are dropping off & picking up. Since the days are shorter and it is dark during these times, the risk increases. Be safe!

It is requested that each child come to school with a full change of clothing, including underwear and socks, in their backpack. Is your child's change of clothing appropriate for the changing seasons? Please make sure you have replaced summer clothes with warmer clothing. We appreciate your assistance.

If you know someone searching for a quality preschool program, send them to the Warren Early Childhood Center! We have spaces currently available for half day and full day classes. We also accept On My Way and CCDF vouchers. Registration appointments can be made by calling Mary Crabtree in the ECC office, 317-869-4751.

Session Times for the 20-21 school year are as follows:

Half Day Morning 8:50 to 11:50 a.m.

Half Day Afternoon 12:55 to 3:55 p.m.

Full Day 9:20 to 3:20 p.m.

Child Care 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

If you arrive after the car line has concluded, you will need to park your car and check your child in with the front office.

AM Half Day- Car line closes at 9:00 a.m.

PM Half Day- Car line closes at 1:00 p.m.

Full Day- All car lines, Orange, Pink & Yellow, close at 9:30 a.m.

Thank you for having your car sign displayed for dismissal. It's makes the car line move much quicker. Don't forget to have your ID ready to present to staff when asked.
