NEW BUSINESS
Finish Strong
Final grades for students in 9-11 grades are due from teachers at 8:00 am on Friday, May 19. (This is two days AFTER the last day of school.) Keep this in mind as you're tempted to coast in the final days of school...
Checking In on Checking Out
Seniors in good standing may keep their Chromebooks and chargers.
Students in grades 9-11 who don't turn in a Chromebook and corresponding charger will be charged for replacement. Machines will be reissued to students in August.
Stay tuned for more information.
NWEA Incentive
The only student suggestion I've received for the incentive day was 'Let's go outside.' So...let's go outside Monday afternoon.
I have emailed students who are not eligible to attend the incentive afternoon.
Eligible students - you may bring drinks and snacks. Eligible students may also be on their phones and use chairs/blankets if they don't want to walk in the circle drive or play games.
If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll reschedule for later in the week.
Attention, Senior Parents:
The following email was sent from Mrs. Crews to Senior Parents/Guardians on 5/3:
What a week next week is set to be for your student! I am so excited to celebrate the Seniors through Baccalaureate, Senior Sendoff, Graduation and more, but especially with this year's Decision Day!
Next Wednesday, May 10, you are invited to join us for a morning highlighting the next steps of our 2023 grads - whether they are headed directly into the workforce, joining the military, attending college/tech school or participating in internships. Decision Day will take place from 9:00 AM-? (tentatively 11:00) in the foyer and cafeteria with a light breakfast as well as an opportunity to take part in an official signing in front of the Wildcat backdrop. This morning, I sent our Seniors a final update request to nail down their official plans at this time and will be contacting representatives, recruiters and future employers to invite them to attend the event alongside all of you. It has been requested that all students wear gear of some sort representing their next venture, as are you! If not, feel free to wear your favorite Slater shirt or whatever you are comfortable in!
If you plan to be a part of Decision Day with your Senior, please RSVP via email to me at Lcrews@slaterschools.net by Monday (5/8) at 3:00 PM. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
Thank you!
Lauren

Due to liability concerns from MUSIC, our insurance company, pets are not permitted on school property.
This excludes service animals and classroom/curricular animals, pre approved by a Building Principal.
Shout Out
Take a minute to let me know all about it by filling out THIS FORM.
Students, Parents, and Staff can give a shout out to any Slater Schools employee! We'll make sure they receive a copy of it and will look for ways to share them with you throughout the year as well.
Let's get to bragging about all the good people around here!

Sharing is Caring
Mrs. Shaw and the yearbook staff are looking for pictures of staff and students at school and school events. If you have pictures to share, please send them to rshaw@slaterschools.net.
Thank you!
Tick Tock
We will ask Seniors to stop by the HS Office at the beginning of the week to confirm the spelling of their name for their Diploma so we can get them ordered.
Speaking of Graduation...remember:
- Your attendance must be at least 90% to walk at the Graduation ceremony.
- Your Diploma must contain your legal name. At the ceremony, I can call your name as whatever you request - full name, first and last only, Andy instead of Andrew...
Authorized Use
The loaner Chromebooks are to be used by students whose machines are being repaired.
If you have lost or forgotten your machine, you are on your own. You are still responsible for completing the work that was assigned - you just may get to do it on paper. Welcome to 1994. It was a good year. :)
Restricted
We need that area for District vehicles and staff members.
Thank you!
