Loma Heights Families,

We have lots of GREAT things happening at our school. Please read through our November news letter and let our staff know if you have any questions.

Loma Heights Students worked hard during Red Ribbon Week! Students took a pledge to be Drug Free and participated in educational events and spirit days where students were able to dress up each day.

Our goal is to ensure all students are safe while at school. With that in mind there are a few things we would like to remind parents about when they are doing morning drop off at Loma Heights.

• Staff is on duty beginning at 7:30am. Please do not allow your students to exit your vehicle any earlier. If you are walking with your child please stay with them until 7:30am. Do not leave them unsupervised in the front of the building.
• Please pull all they way up to the flag poles when dropping off. Do not stop at the front doors as this causes the line to back up on to Madrid.
• Have your child ready to get off on the passenger side once you have pulled up.
• Be aware of the cross walk. Stop if there are people waiting to cross and DO NOT stop on the cross walk.

To ensure afternoon pick up continues to run smooth please help us with the following:

• When arriving please pull up to the first person loading the cars.
• Have your number visible so that we can get your student ready.

When exiting Loma Heights we are asking that EVERYONE please turn right on Debra Street to help with keeping the flow of traffic moving.

Back to Madrid

If you are trying to get back on Madrid you will need to

turn Right on Debra St, Left on Jayne Ln, and Left on Evelyn St.

To Solano

If you need to get to Solano you will need to

turn Right on Debra St and Right on Mulberry

Veterans Day gives us the opportunity to thank all the men and women who serve or have served in the military to protect our country. These brave men and women serve in times of peace and war, protecting the safety and security of citizens of our country, and around the world. We are fortunate here at Loma Heights to have staff that are Veterans and for them we are thankful. We would like to invite our Veteran's to a celebration in honor of you. Join us on November 11th from 9:00-10:00 am in the Loma Heights cafeteria for a presentation thank you gift.

Families please take some time to help provide us with insights into the progress of our school. We need one adult from each household to complete the survey. It typically takes about 5 minutes to complete. Answers are anonymous so please be honest and open. We hope you will participate so we can use the feedback to make our school an even better place for students and families. If you have any questions about the survey please contact the school's front office.
