Notes from Mrs. Green

I hope everyone has been able to make it through February ok! This cold, wintry weather has been crazy this year! Whether the pandemic is still lingering around your family or it is the cold, winter blues, lets hope that spring arrives soon and fast!

We did an awesome job raising money for our playground! The playground project is at least a 3 year project. We are budgeting for the new items and working with vendors to decide what the best playground/outdoor learning area to purchase. We are in the collection phase and will continue to update you as we go!

Our Valentine fundraiser was a good first start! We raised about $1000.00. This money will help a bit with our loss of not having a carnival this year. We may still have one more small fundraiser, we will keep you posted if we do another event! Thank you to all of you who helped contribute to the Valentine's Day Fundraiser. I know staff and students loved it!

Please try to stay warm and hope that spring is a lot kinder to us than this cold and snowy winter! On to spring and sunshine:)

Planning ahead to next year

*We are still taking names for incoming students in Kindergarten. Students are required to be 5 years old by August 1, 2021. Students with a birthdate of August 2- October 1 may request early entrance if they meet that academic and social/emotional guidelines. Requesting a waiver does not guarantee entrance into Kindergarten.

*If you are planning any moves or other changes that affect your child’s enrollment at Rome City School, please notify the RC office ASAP. Thank you!
