3rd Grade Reading with Mrs. Deegan-Smith
Hello 3rd Graders! I hope you enjoyed "The Wind & the Sun", "The Bundle of Sticks", and writing in your journal this week. Please look at each ELA Course below to help you prepare for the week of August 27-31.
Literature: You will read in your "K12 Classics for Young Readers" pages 6-11, and complete "Language Arts Activity Book" pages LC 3-6. You will complete OLS Unit 1 Lessons 6-8. Please do NOT begin Unit 5. Please see picture below. Unit 2 will populate on your daily plan on Tuesday, 9/4
Writing: You will write in your "My Journal" pages 16-17. You will complete OLS Unit 2 Lessons 1-6 and Language Arts Activity Book pages WS 1-5. Remember these are the purple pages at the back of the workbook.
Vocabulary: No materials are required. You will complete OLS Unit 1 Lessons 6-10.
Spelling: No materials are required. Learning Coaches can prepare one of the games found in the Spelling Handbook. Please send me an email if you would like another copy of the Word Work Activities. You will complete OLS Unit 2 Lessons 1-5.
Reading Class Connect: We will be reading and writing summaries to help you prepare for your Unit 1 Assessment in Literature.
Teacher Graded Assignments: You will find your first TGA in USA Test Prep.
Reading 3 TGA 1 Fables
Please check the Gradebook Monday, August 27 to see if you have any 'm's. Your LC should give you a spelling test today, grade and then follow the online prompts to upload the score into Unit 1 Lesson 5. This is our only grade for this week.
3rd Grade Math with Mrs. Moore
Yay! You made it through your first full week of school! This week in math we will continue to work in Unit 1, composing and decomposing numbers and numbers in expanded form.
Please come to class on Monday with your journal, pencil, a working headset with microphone, and an awesome attitude. Also, don't forget to practice your flashcards with your learning coach for 5-10 minutes each night.

Hello 3rd Graders! I so enjoyed getting to know all of you in class on Friday. This week you will be completing unit 1, lessons 4 and 5. We will work through lesson 5 together during class on the 31st and spend time identifying and locating the continents and oceans. Have a great week!

3rd Grade Health/PE/Art with Ms. Buchanan
Happy Friday!!! I hope you enjoyed your first full week at TOPS. I know yall have been busy working hard in your lessons this week. Many of you have sent pictures of your self portrait already. I am still looking through them all. They are amazing!!! In Health next week you will continue learning about the body. In PE you will continue using your pedometer.
