If you have not had a chance to pop by to hug Mrs. Jones and get a baby update, please do so. She is back and we are thrilled!

Please congratulate Ms. Rapp as she is our new SDI instructional support staff member. We are eagerly looking to find her replacement for PPCD.

PLCs went well and that is exciting. If you haven't given me feedback about the half day, please let me know, especially if it did NOT work well for your team. We can always improve!

A note regarding Running Records from SPED and MTA:

Your support teachers will give these students their running records, but it is still good practice for the classroom teacher to also give a RR every once in awhile to make sure you are hitting all the marks for the student during reading groups.

As you know Chrystal and Ron are continuing to face hurdles as news continues to come in. Chrystal is going to need to be a lot this year and I have been brainstorming as to how we can help. One way is if you would like, you can donate a LOCAL personal day to Chrystal. I believe you can donate up to three days. Please email Laura if you would like to donate and include the number of days you would like to give. Laura will do the rest. I know Chrystal appreciates this and would NEVER ask for anyone to donate one single thing, but she would be the first one to give up one of her days for one of us!

We are also going to hold a few fun days for our students in order to support Chrystal and Ron as well. On November 13th students may wear PJs for $1 and November 22nd students may wear hats for $1. All proceeds will go to the Andrews'. Please put in your newsletters. Chrystal is the first face our families see when they come into Hicks and she was meant to do that job. I know our families will want to support her in this hour of need.

November 21st- Frito Chili Pie Bar (Thank you, 4th & 5th Teams!)

November 22nd- Hat day-- $1 to support Ms. Chrystal
