Music in Our Schools

For over 30 years, the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) has officially designated March as Music In Our Schools Month® (MIOSM®), encouraging communities nationwide to focus on music education. Music education is part of a well-rounded education for every student, and we have great music programs in CCSD. Thank you to our dedicated music educators who help our students express their creativity through music!


Approaching the Finish Line

As we head into Quarter 4, I encourage you to be vigilant and mindful of your student's progress. Make sure to check Parent Portal for updated grades and attendance. Please schedule a conference with your student's teachers if you feel they are in danger of failing. Please do not wait until it is too late. Let's go into this final quarter with positivity and motivation to help our students finish strong!

Music in CCSD Schools

MHS encourages social-emotional learning.

ECMHS Career Day allowed students to examine career pathways and build relationships with community partners.

Classroom Learning in Lit

Mrs. Jennifer Gross and her students enjoyed their hands-on learning on Pi Day.

District Wellness

MJHS welcomed Lindsey Dishman of General Mills. Dishman created foods containing General Mills ingredients. District Nutrition Director Emelina Alfano provided students with gold coins to cast their vote for the best-tasting item.

Jennifer Mongold of the Clemson Extension visited SECC to teach the students about fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, and dairy. Students danced to the blender sound and played exercise games.

Students gave their smoothie treat a thumbs up 👍

Please continue to support our students in their activities. They love to see our smiling faces at their activities or sporting events. We have students doing great things inside and outside of the classroom. You may be their only supporter, so let's be there!
