Winter elementary parent/teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, February 8 and Friday, February 9. Simpson students will be dismissed at 12:10 p.m. on these days.

Your child’s teacher has maintained documentation of the progress your student has made toward achieving grade level standards. At this conference the teacher will be able to provide detailed information regarding the skills which have been attained and those skills on which your student needs to focus for the remainder of the year. Report cards will be mailed home on February 2.

Each month, Simpson students focus on developing specific character traits. Students learn what it looks like to exhibit these traits and are recognized for demonstrating them inside and outside of the classroom. January's character trait was "integrity." Congratulations to January's Bulldogs of the Month: Kamryn P., Charlotte S., Abi K., Mara R., Taitum T., Tanner M., Reagan F., Anika D., Khloe W., Conlee G., Jaelynn A., Cora A., Chloe R., Isaiah P., Sammie L., Haylee A., Larken G., and Rylee W.

Students will focus on "caring and kindness" as the character trait for the month of February.

If your child is absent, please excuse the absence in one of the following ways:

• Report the absence online via Skyward Family Access;
• Email the school office;
• Call the school office at 360-249-4331.

All absences must be excused within 24 hours. Acceptable excuses for student absences include: illness, medical/dental appointments, family emergency, bereavement, and religious occasions. Other reasons may be excused at the discretion of the school principal.
