Message from the Principal

Dear Tenino Families,

Here is a big, hearty thank you to all our families for your support in a great start up to the school year. During the month of September, our teachers established daily routines designed to foster positive behavior and strong academics. As we begin the month of October we look forward to building on that positive momentum. Please help us by staying in touch with your child’s teacher and encouraging good routines at home. Keep in mind that conference week is fast approaching - November 7th to Nov 10th. Your teacher will be contacting you to schedule a time.

I also want to thank our PTSA for sponsoring a very successful Family Fun Fitness night on Friday, September 30. We had over 60 students from Tenino Elementary and Parkside enjoy an evening of fun and exciting activities. This is just one of several activities planned for this year. Consider joining this fantastic group of parents and becoming a member of the PTSA and contributing to the success of our students and our school.

Daily On-Time Attendance

Attendance is key to academic success. This relationship between attendance and achievement may appear early in a child's school career. We know that family life can be challenging and that sometimes it is necessary for a child to stay home due to illness or family concerns. But we also know that students who attend school regularly achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance. So please do your best to have your child attend school all day, every day. Let us know if you have any questions or suggestions. The more we work together the more our students succeed.

End of Day Notes to the Office

If you need to change plans for end of day transportation, please contact the office before 2:00. PM. This really helps our office staff deliver the notes to the students and their teachers in a timely manner. Thank You!!!!
