The Power of 1 and the Artsonia Grade
I enter a 1 in iNOW to show I will still accept an assignment.
Major projects, usually worth 100 points, I accept for full credit until the end of the nine weeks.
Classwork such as magazines I accept late for half credit until one month after the day they were due. Magazines are usually assigned on days when a substitute teacher is here. The grade given reflects the work that was completed that day in my absence. Scholastic Art is a high-quality magazine and I choose topics that relate to what we are doing in art class. It is not busy work.
The Artsonia grade is a running total. Students earn 5 points for each piece of art they exhibit on Artsonia.com. I update the Artsonia grade several times throughout the nine weeks. This nine weeks ends on October 12.
Kind regards,
Kristin Meriam-Bloodworth
